The I to the S to the M

That’s right. Tonight marks our annual inter-society meeting with the rivals.

We’re hosting. Sister Melear is presenting. The Topic is defined by her as follows:

BIHR: Child soldiers should be prosecuted for the crimes they commit during wartime.

Child: Anyone under the age of 18.

Soldier: One who takes a direct part or indirect part in hostilities.  A direct part would include using a weapon, an indirect part would include spies, porters, etc.  I am not including in my definition of soldier those who are used for propaganda purposes.

When I initially read this resolution,  I was like “WHOA this goes against everything I believe…” but after more thought,  I’m pretty excited about the direction it could take.

I will, of course, go into more detail as I present.  If anyone else has any questions, however, let me hear them.

P.S. Dues are promptly due by 7:15 this evening before Brother Timmons protemporaneously strikes the gavel.
