The Phi Kappa Literary Society is a debate society at the University of Georgia. We meet every academic Thursday at Phi Kappa Hall on North Campus at 7 p.m.

All with an insatiable appetite for knowledge and oratory are welcome.

Debate/National Issues Forum: Deficit Reduction Should Be the Primary Goal of U.S Economic Policy

The Roosevelt Institute, the Phi Kappa Literary Society, and the Demosthenian Literary Society are pleased to present the second annual joint debate and national issues forum! We will be debating, “Be It Hereby Resolved: Deficit reduction should be the primary goal of U.S. economic policy.”
Definitions are forthcoming. Afterwards, there will be a 30 minute national issues forum in which we discuss the implications of different economic policy proposal.

There will be free food starting at 6:30; the debate

starts at 7, and the NIF will be from 8-8:30.

All are welcome to attend! Speakers will have 3 minutes to present their opinions on the resolution! Invite your friends, invite your family, invite your neighbors with the Ron Paul bumper stickers!.
