Should prostitution be legalized?

The Phi Kappa Literary Society will be holding its first meeting of the semester this Thursday at 7 pm in Phi Kappa Hall. Drop by to give your opinion and affirm or negate the following resolution: BIHR: Prostitution should be legalized.

Where does the government’s moral duty lie, or do they have one at all? Is legalizing prostitution compassionate or harmful? How much can we rely on other countries who have legalized prostitution to set a precedent for us? Is US culture just not ready for this? Should prostitution be treated like any other service based business, or is buying the use of a person’s body just one step too far? We want to know what you think. Come by Phi Kappa Hall this Thursday for a great debate.
