Is torture an acceptable tool in the interrogation of terrorists?

Please come and join the Phi Kappa Literary Society this Tursday, September 11, at 7 pm in Phi Kappa Hall as we debate whether or not torture is an acceptable tool in the interrogation of terrorists.
President Obama recently came out and said that the U.S. “crossed a line” with the use of torture in the investigations after 9/11. Though he asks us to remember the fear and panic that the government and American people felt after the 9/11 attacks, reports have stated that the use of torture lasted long after 9/11. Where is the line between national security and war crimes? Can torture be morally justified?
Come to the hall this Thursday, and tell us what YOU think.
